Should You Buy an Apple Watch? – A Complete Review

As you’ve probably known the Apple Watch has recently become one of the most talked about topics on the Internet as Apple’s release date for the watch is coming closer. As much as we can tell, the watch will be available to purchase on 24 April and the price should be anywhere from $349 to $17,000. So many people are wondering whether to purchase this smart watch from Apple or not, and thus today we will give you a hands-on review of the up-coming Apple Watch and offer you some insights into some of the most fundamental features of this watch so that you decide for yourself whether this new Apple product is actually worth the price.

Apple Watch – The Next Big Hit From Apple
The first special feature of the Apple Watch is wireless charging. If you have been familiar with any Macbook in the past, it usually comes with a Magsafe charger and this will be the exact charger that the new watch will use. Apple has brought the Magsafe technology into the watch, so all you have to do is put the Magsafe charger on the back of the Apple watch and then it will magnetically attached together and starts charging. So there’s definitely no type of lighting cables – which turns out to be quite convenient.

The Convenient Magsafe Charger for Apple Watch
The next feature is actually very innovative – it’s the fitness monitor that you can find behind the watch. So in the back of the Apple track there are 4 sensors that will track your heart rate, your motion and it also has GPS so it can track where the motion has taken you, so that you can clearly see how active you were in your exercise. You can even see how long you have been sitting, and how long it takes for you to get up and be active again since the last time you sat down. These are all very useful and innovative features from Apple and you’d expect the “Tech Giant” to be the next big competitor for other fitness bands out there, as the Apple Watch not only focuses much of its attention on fitness, but it also comes with a ton of other apps.

The Innovative Health App for the Apple Watch
Want to pay only by using your watch? Apple has made that come true by introducing Apple Pay for their new watch. This is not a brand new feature as it has been introduced on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus before, however using it on your watch would be a totally new experience. There are some concerns about security as Apple hasn’t touched on how it’s going to work without Touch ID, however we believe Apple should be able to deliver a proper solution as the way they described Apple Pay seems to be very secured so far. We bet everyone loves the idea of being able to just swipe your watch and make a transaction. Just imagine you don’t even have to pull anything out of your pocket, you don’t have to go for your credit card, your wallet, your phone,… it would be very convenient! Even though we still have a lot to see on how seamlessly it’s going to work, the idea of Apple Pay on this smart watch looks very promising.

Apple Pay on Apple Watch – A Very Promising Combination
There are a lot more useful features on the Apple Watch but these 3 are the most out-standing. We still have a lot to see until the release date but rest assured the Apple Watch will be the next big hit for the Tech Giant. And you, have you decided for yourself yet? Will these amazing features actually be worth the price?

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Revealed: Specs and Hype Abound

At last week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, heavy-hitting brands such as Samsung and HTC seemed to be relentless in their pursuit of perfection. Sporting a new metal chassis and Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides, the Samsung Edge is both durable and a beauty to behold. Gorilla Glass, for the uninitiated, is specially-designed for mobile phones, offering sheer amounts of flexibility while still being heavily-resistant to damage. Its 4th iteration was introduced late November last year and based on the tests, offers 80% more resistance than traditional glass. It has to be remembered that Apple originally planned to utilize Sapphire crystal for their displays, with the latter touted as offering premium durability while maintaining a very sophisticated look but compatibility issues prevented the deal from pushing through. With a 5.1-inch super AMOLED display and 557 pixels-per-inch, it is definitely poised to be have the biggest resolution in the mobile market today. The Gorilla Glass 4 that the S6 will be using has also been tempered to about 800c, resulting to a very sexy design without running the risk of any bends whatsoever. Aside from possessing superior aesthetics, the camera resolutions are marvelous as well. Aside from having 5 Mp and 16 Mp front and rear cameras, respectively, both the S6 and the S6 Edge support 4k resolution, optical image stabilization (to reduce, if not eliminate shaking and vibration while recording videos), and object-tracking auto focus, a new and promising feature that lets the camera automatically readjust its focus as the selected object changes its location while the frame remains the same. It’s able to record 1080p videos at an astounding 60 fps. the front camera also has 60% more light and more or less 40% less noise than the S5.

As for hardware specifications, Samsung’s new devices have also received astounding upgrades. It now runs on a 64-bit architecture from a 14-NM processors. Unlike the S3, these devices don’t use the Snapdragon processors, which were heavily panned for being slower compared to the other ones of their time. Having 3 GB of RAM means that the S6 may also run up to 50% faster. The speakers have also been well-received. They’re noticeably louder than the iPhone 6’s, something that the previous generations of Samsung’s galaxy line failed to match against. While the exact battery life is unknown at the moment, it’s technology seems to have really been upgraded as well. Justin Denison, Vice President of Samsung Electronics America, proudly stated that it will only take 10 minutes for the phones to be able to last for up to 4 hours. It’s also capable of wireless charging now thanks to induction technology. Support for NFC, or Near-field communications, remains the same and so these phones will be able to communicate with other devices (including data transfer) in the office, such as printers, computers and Smart-TVs easily. The fact that the batteries are sealed inside the phone this time has drawn polarized reactions from people. Some have argued that this is Samsung’s attempt to thwart eventual efforts of counterfeit battery production for smartphones while others have criticized it for limiting customer options by not providing them with the capability to acquire spare batteries for everyday use. But then again, with the S6’s marked increase in battery life, it should not really warrant a concern of any kind.

s6-edge

Even the user-interface seems to have been slightly tweaked for the better. A majority of the icons (i.e a clip for attachments, speaker for audio etc.) were changed with actual text, possibly to make navigation easier for newer users. The color scheme’s also simpler but better this time, offering only three dominant ones (green, orange and purple) for the standard theme. Together with increased processing power and more ram, stuttering or lag from the phone’s screen has been completely removed.

To wrap up the reveal, Justin gave attendees the opportunity to look at a revamped Gear VR (Virtual Reality) headset, which only enjoyed limited use before since the only Samsung Note 4 was compatible with it, and also debuted Samsung’s counterpart to mobile payment. In order for this to be possible, the S6 will be utilizing magnetic secure transmission (MST) which Samsung acquired as a result of their acquisition of LoopPay, the most accepted mobile wallet in America as well as a majority of countries elsewhere.
